Wood: I'm a free man after divorce, & the band ? Maybe next year

Ronnie Wood has said he is "a free man" after his divorce was finalised and insisted his relationship with ex-wife Jo was amicable.

Speaking backstage at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards, the Rolling Stone said: "Yes, I'm a free man. I believe today is the day the divorce becomes final. I've been so busy at the awards.

"I'm going to meet Jo this week, very amicably, and we are going to talk about 'you have this and I'll have that'. It's only material things."

The couple split up very publicly in 2008 as Ronnie battled addiction and his ex-wife built a media career and starred in the BBC1 ballroom show Strictly Come Dancing.

The star, who revealed he has not read bandmate Keith Richards' memoirs yet, said he expected the band to work together again "maybe next year".

The fact that he said "maybe next year" goes to show how not one ounce of planning is set for anything this year.

Hey man. i'm all good with next year.

Plan on working for the rest of the year. Finish my contract March 2012, then I'm gonna take the rest of the year off and do my thing. Can't think of a better way to spend it than watching the Stones doin plenty of rockin and rollin.

Yippeee, I'm good to go

Ronnie's a gangsta now. Check out those shoes! That wig his girl is wearing looks kinda freaky. Probably to keep Ronnie interested. Blonde wig is next. He's got that short attention span. Hey Ronnie shut up and play yer guitar we're dyin out here!!!!!!!!

he looks happy and he is still keeping busy. the rest of the boys are as stale as a loaf of two year old bread.if they wait another year to do anything, keith is my major concern. can he shake off the rust and hold up for a few hours on stage? shock me show me.

i think the global recession has put a damper on their tour plans.if the economy was rocking, the stones would also be rocking IMO.

"I'm going to meet Jo this week, very amicably, and we are going to talk about 'you have this and I'll have that'. It's only material things."

"Ok Jo, you take the antique cutlery and I'll have that crate of Guinness".
"Next - you take all the furmiture and the dog Jo and I'll take another crate of Guinness, four bottles of malt Whisky and the champagne".
"Good, now we're getting somewhere, so you take everything else thats left in the house Jo and I'll have the rest of the booze, the illicit pictures I took of the Russian and a couple of sausage rolls, good now we're really amicable".
