A new album from PJ Harvey will be released next year: Let England Shake. From the two songs I have heard is gonna be very good. What do you think of PJ? For me she is the best female singer/writer around. I think keith said once,in the early nineties, that she was one of the new singers that he admired.

She is a great artist, weirdly I was listening to her when I noticed your post. She has had a problem with quality control in recent years though some great records and some weak ones. My favourite album is "Stories from the city.."
The best female singer/writer though is a bit strong for me, there are a lot of great female songwriters such as Jesse Sykes,Lucinda Williams,Aimee Mann and Eilen Jewel.
