Probably Pearl Jam in June. That crowd gave me the biggest beating I've had since I REALLY pissed some dude off. Such a great band as well.

oh gosh, while i didn't get out as much this year, there were some highlights:

norton buffalo tribute (w/steve miller, bonnie raitt, et al). on the rail at the fox. loved this show. renewed appreciation for steve miller who i first saw in 1967. what a great catalog of songs

paul mccartney at the SF giants ball park - everybody was *so* into it and he's just a consummate entertainer.

neil young solo at the fox. just neil, his guitars and piano/organ. lovely and mesmerizing. small venue and not a bad seat in the house.

bob dylan at the fox. bob knows how to pick great backing bands and lots of blond on blond tunes.

big bill morgenfield and little mud morganfield at ground zero in clarksdale, mississippe - just because ...

and then there was the jam session following the blues music awards featuring charlie musselwhite and pinetop perkins at the rum boogie in memphis. this was a total surprise.

Charlie Watts and ABC&D... but that was in January. U2 were great too.

But this year I attended far less concerts then I am used too and then I hoped I would see. I didn't expect any Stones' concert of course, but I really thought that there were high chances of Macca visiting Europe. I would love to see him again. I was wrong. I regret I was not able to see Dylan this year, eventhough he visited our coutry. I regret that the ABC&D concerts in November were cancelled, I had a ticket...Also the Jerry Lee concert was cancelled.

For the next year I am looking forward to the 2 Roger Waters concerts I have tickets for, I believe I will have a chance to see The Stones a couple of times, I think that the chances that Macca will come are good. Don't know if Dylan might return that soon, but it might happen. Then I would love to see Bruce, but that is very unlikely. Anyway, if The Stones an McCartney come to Europe, it will be a great year :-)

2nd: AC/DC

Everybody knows them. Let There Be Rock was the definite bluesrock heaven.

Hmmmm. I think the only shows I saw this year were Roger Daltrey, 3 times. So, my best concert.......... Roger Daltrey! Maybe I'll get out more in 2011, as in maybe our beloved Stones will hit the road.

Carlitos, are you sure you saw NRBQ and not members of NRBQ? My understanding was they broke up some years ago. I know Terry Adams has a new band, perhaps that's who you saw? As for me, didn't get out that much this year, but these were good:

Aerosmith/Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (hands-down funnest show this year!)
Wilco
Angry Samoans (only two original members but fun nonetheless)
