Pete Townshend - Shut Up About Jagger!
Posted by: Cocaine Eyes ()

The Who's Pete Townshend has revealed that Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger is the only man he's "seriously wanted to f^$k".

In an excerpt from his forthcoming autobiography Who I Am, the legendary guitarist admitted lusting after his fellow rocker and also refuted stingy allegations made by the likes of Stones' guitarist Keith Richards about the size of the singer's manhood.

Townshend, who has been writing the memoir for 15 years, says:
Mick is the only man I've ever seriously wanted to f*^k.He also described Jagger's penis as "long and plump" and insisted the singer was "very well endowed", echoing comments he had made about the frontman's member being "huge and extremely tasty". His description, however contradicts less complimentary claims made by Richards in his million-selling autobiography Life which reportedly led to a rift between the pair.

Who I Am will be published on October 11 by Harper Collins. The book will share details of Townshend's "incredible life and elaborates on the turbulences of time spent as one of the world’s most respected musicians – being in one of rock’s greatest ever bands, and wanting to give it all up".

It was during the writing of the book in 2003 that Townshend was cautioned by police for accessing child pornography on the internet. When questioned by police about the material he cited researching for the book as his reason for doing so.

He said at the time: "I believe I was sexually abused between the age of five and six and a half when in the care of my maternal grandmother who was mentally ill at the time. Some of the things I have seen on the internet have informed my book."

He added: "If I have any compulsions in this area, they are to face what is happening to young children in the world today and to try to deal openly with my anger and vengeance toward the mentally ill people who find paedophilic pornography attractive."

He makes me laugh. Always has.
I still can hear him say "Guys, whatever you do don't grow old gracefully; it wouldn't suit you!"
Thank you Mr. Cocaine Eyes!

This is only my opinion....I think Pete Townshend should just shut up...not to be agist, but when you're young there is way more leeway in what you say.

Pete's sounding like a creepy old man.

I agree, but I don't think it has to do with him being old, he just sounds like a pervert when he says things like that.

Actually it seems like a cheap gimmick to increase sales of his upcoming book... which is not too classy.... so this will now be 2 books that sell extra copies based on talking about Jagger's...

You can't shut Pete Townshend up, not even between live Who songs--he'll just tell you "F&%$ off!" in his best Shepherd's Bush tone.

you could be right...how sad that these rock icons seem to have no self respect. The young Keith and Pete I don't think would have so cheaply scuttled their own legacies. Sir Mick (and Sir Paul) shines like a knight in comparison.

I myself threw up a little bit, but I did swallow it back down, so we're all good.

So not only are you the self appointed post police here on IORR, but you also now speak for what Mick Jagger thinks?

He also described Jagger's penis as "long and plump" and insisted the singer was "very well endowed"... Didn't Keith describe it differently ?

Sure, but I'm guessing that's because Keith never did anything that caused it to become long and plump.

I don't understand the hate for Pete here. He's great. My take on this is, "Don't ever shut up, Pete. It just wouldn't suit you..."

His comments about the Stones at the RR HOF were fine. Nothing wrong with them at all.

His comments on Mick here are hilarious, and he's well-intentioned, if also guilty of offering excessive...opinion. But still. Pete rocks, is cool, and just like Steven Tyler, he's just a big ole Stones fan!

I love Pete but to quote Bill Holden in Network; "I stopped comparing genitals in the schoolyard."

What I do want to know from Pete is how he was able to drink 4 bottles of brandy in one night.

FOr myself, I'm curious to see how Pete deals with the years directly following Moon's death. Pete was very heavy into hard drugs and alcohol and has admitted he barely survived the period from 1979-82.
Other interesting things will be to see how he describes his fellow bandmates. Will it be flattering or flippant?

Some make money by using Jaggers "Moves" others make money by using his p*** to sell their books.

Didn't Pete come out of the closet years ago? Why was Mick the only one he'd like to fvck then? confused smiley

Didn't he have an affair with Steve Strange around the time of the new romantics in the early 80s?? I think he alludes to it in You Better You Bet.

We were backstage, age 15, at the first show of the spring '80 North American tour in Vancouver and Pete was fascinating to watch. Before the gig, reserved, tense, played Space Invaders and chain-smoked hand-rolleds with a little a little piece of string tied around the end of each one. After the gig, knocking back the Remy-Martin like crazy and kind of owning the room. Jones and Enthwistle were quiet, Daltrey seemed like kind of a dick but Tonwshend we were simply in awe of. And he did keep pouring drinks for my buddy Sean, the pretty boy.

This is just Pete trying to create a mythology for himself for future generations to marvel over. Naturally, he's got to link himself to people equal to or greater than himself.
