Did both lotus stages make it to Europe in '76? I wasn't sure either of them had - but there are photos - there was a non-lotus configuration too, right?

I was at Les Abotois in Paris to see the Stones in 76 and they used it there, that was the only time I saw it so i presume it was used in other parts of Europe.

was it the one that opened - the bigger one - or the one that was already open when the show started? (if you recall) and wasn't there a stage that had staircases in 76?

are you sure they used the lotus at the paris gigs?
the tv special doesnt show this stage but the one with stairs..

You must be mistaken, I was at Les Abbatoirs and I didn't see the Lotus Stage - don't think I would have missed it!

In the States the lotus stage was not used in baseball and football stadiums. Only arenas apparently.

Was there an alternate stage for stadiums in the U.S.?

yeah, for outdoor shows it was just a tented stage

No offense intended but you must be mistaken,pgarof .I don't recall the lotus stage at the Abattoirs.
Earls Court ,yes for sure but what about others countries ?
Honestly,I don't know and would enjoy if someone could enlighten me on this question .

Marko--every indoor show had a lotus - there were two of them - one that opened and a static version - the outdoor gigs all had tents

Yep,but i think they used opening one in Philadelphia,couple of friends from usa was there.

marko - not in philly - you can tell by the photos - the stages had different base colors

Voja was in Zagreb '76, both shows (21 & 22 june). Haven't seen him here lately, I'll email him this link - I do remember he once told me that the concerts were exactly the same as can be seen in that Abattoirs '76 video.

No lotus in Glasgow 76. I think I remember reading that the stage was too small for it.

At the Buffalo Aud show in June they had the Lotus stage that didn't open. In Aug at Rich Stadium it was the tent one.

more hot rocks - right - that makes sense

Both Zagreb without lotus. Same stage as in Paris. Only without liana grip, in reason of security.

I was there on the front row, Mick Jagger was hanging on as the stage opened, i saw it with my own eyes and did not imagine it

Yes I can see BUT I was there on one of the performances and I repeat again that they DID come out of the Lotus stage. I only saw them twice on that tour once in Paris then again a Knebworth with the tented stage and tongue catwalk.
Perhaps when this youtube clip was filmed it was a different night and the stage was not working, I just can't explain it but sorry i am telling the truth and insist that I DID SEE THE LOTUS STAGE OPEN. Help me someone, was anyone else there.

well--this is the simple stage with the stairs - visible in the other Paris shows as well - I can't imagine they'd swap a stage out in mid run - (plus-this venue looks way too small for the lotus)
