As some might know by now, another British icon celebrates his 50th anniversary this year. Its been 50 years since Sir Sean Connery made his debut as James Bond. For this landmark all of the stops have been pulled out. Books covering several topics of the movies (music, posters, etc.), product tie ins, re-releases of the 22 current films, documentaries and all important: a new film that promises to be better than the last film. A publicity and marketing blitz are surrounding Bond's 50th anniversary.
Perhaps the Stones should have followed a similar pattern as Bond has.
