I'm gonna say it looks like a polaroid.

If I remember correctly, this photo and a dozen others where taken by a visiting Japanese journalist, and published in Japan in anticipation of the shows in Japan in February 1973, which didn't happen.

OK thanks, knowing that, I'm going to change from Polaroid to a Pentax.

I definitely think the origins of this are with a Pentax camera, Fuji film.

There is another photo from this session of just Keith and Charlie, wearing the same clothes. I remember it because it struck me that they both looked so scuzzy, not unusual for Keith, but you don't often see Charlie looking that unkempt.

That's right. There's a couple more pictures from the same session apparently published in the same article.
