Small note, after much appreciation--
Topic title = "New York Public Library", the name of the place...
the library of New York City, not the state.

As someone noted earlier, it's amazing what a set of intelligent questions can bring out, especially from someone Keith knows over the years, who has also read the book.
Keith has to concentrate on the questions to figure out the answers, rather than just giving one of his oft-said, more typical phrases. The lengthy, free-form format seems to give him time to stretch out, without the pressures of broadcast or recorded air time, with its built-in commercials and public service announcements.

not bad, I guess, but an awful lot of softballs.
the question about charlie was really a sop to keith's tendency to wax on about him. If bill had been the one to stay in the band, would decurtis have said that on listening to the early records, he's struck by the importance of bill?
as in the other interviews, keith seems not to want to rehash anything that's in the book itself. Decurtis refers often to the text, keith never. Makes you wonder how much the credit for writing it should go to James Fox.
