OT: Marianne Faithful

My God what happened to this wonderful woman...? Last time I saw her before the health problems began she was in great shape, now...she must have quit smoking I can explain it otherwise! I saw her in Boston once for an autobiography and she was chain smoking and it was banned altogether, imagine...

I hope she can loose some because that's also unhealthy. Any takers here?

She looks really good for 85.

Well she always was a huge poser as far as I'm concerned. Never liked her disingenuous ways back when, still don't. Does this woman actually believe she has a scrap of talent?

We become who we are, take a long look, that is who Ms. Faithfull is. peace

I can't speak for her but many here and elsewhere do think she is talented. Walk ahwile in her shoes before you pass judgment on her (or anyone else for that matter)

Sorry there Chris, I will always choose to pass judgement, musically speaking because it is what I do to keep the vibration high in my court. Do you like The Bay City Rollers, think they are authentic and talented?

Walk in her shoes? If only it were all that easy... That is just a phrase used to mean, "try to understand what she feels" or something like that. Much quicker to get results looking within, everyone has problems, everyone feels pain. Change yourself, change the world is the approach I prefer to take. Can I be a bit more compassionate about her? Maybe but not on my favorite board.

Of course we are always going to pass judgement on entertainers, that's the risk they take when they take the stage. That's the reward they get when they nail it. That's what they are ASKING us to do. peace

I don't mind it as background music to the infighting. Sets a nice tone.

Marianne Faithful did some good recordings. Yet she decided to devote herself to write books about sexual relationships she had almost fifty years ago. That would ruin anyone.

Hey, guess what - some of you might choke on your words big time once you reach her age, have an illness and/or need to take meds that play havoc with your appearance. Lighten up, FFS.
