Mother's little helper would be great for the next tour.It's one of their best sixties songs and they never get to play it.Plus, it has that line about being old

For this tour (if there is one)? I say, "The last time".

I hate to be the one to say it - and I'm not a great fan of the song per se - but I've always thought that Start Me Up's raison d'etre was as THE blistering opener for a Stones show.

Dramatic start, strident, easy to play, gives the sound crew a good opportunity to tweak the sound,etc..

Have enjoyed other openers - although, strangely, didn't particularly rate Under My Thumb when I first saw them open with that - but SMU is the classic Stones opener for me. THEN bring on the rarities and the Chuck Berry numbers.

Of the warhorses I'd go with Brown Sugar or Street Fighting Man. SFTD is just too lame and the rest are boring (it does get it out of the way though).

My Sympathy kick off would be a medley with Too much blood....15 /20 mns of cacophonic mayhem....then Lady jane LOL....Dancing with Mr D sounds good though.....

Cacophony is what it is - of noise. The brilliant display of the garbage that would be blasted out of the monitors by Keith and Ronnie would be a hilarious beginning of a show (and boring to boot). I would think one would want something that would actually be good to open a show! I'm all for "unknown" songs being played but it would have to be one that would work live.

Like Dancing With Mr D or whatever.

To pay tribute they should play "We Love You" coz we luv they too
