That drummer is horrendous. Hammering the cymbal through the entire intro. All in all a pretty tepid performance of a scorching classic.

Indeed the singing is good,but damm the band sucks,mainly the drummer....

"No dope smoking no beer sold after 12 o'clock"

Acc. to Wikipedia she had a miscarriage right after recording her vocal part late 1969... eye popping smiley

The drumming is of comedy value only. Seeimginley someone had just bought the drummer a new symbal for xmas! Great pipes.

I love the song - but dont blame the drummer only - it´s a bad mix, I know - the hi-hat cymbal is way too loud, cause it´s a badly mixed, - all you hear is the hi-hat cymbal from the drums. I dont like Merry´s vocals either on this live version, and yeah the band sucks.

She sang backup vocals on Carole King's Tapestry and other albums in the 70s....
