This is slightly off topic but in the season. What are your fave
Christmas dvds you like or own. I like the James Stewart one called
The Shop Around The Corner. Another of course is A Christmas Carol starring
Alastair Sim..not sure if I spelt his name correct. What a awesome performance
by Sim.

A few years ago I picked up a DVD set with those old Rankin Bass stop-animation specials (Rudolph, etc). LOVE those little shows! haha

This is my all-time favourite Christmas movie. Sim is the definitive Scrooge.

Although MaxKC's list is taking me down memory lane (is it better to give or receive porn for Christmas?), the only typical "Christmas" dvd I own is called "A Year Without A Santa Claus". Heat Miser & Snow Miser kill me every time and I also love the version of "Blue Christmas" in that show.

Also, since MASH is being discussed in the Harry Morgan thread, there was a Holiday episode of that show where the cast spends most of the episode missing a holiday party so they can attempt to save/prolong a wounded soldiers life. In the end, they fail and the soldier dies a few minutes short of midnight. One of them changes the clock in the room to read a few minutes after midnight, on the 26th so the soldier's family doesn't have to rember Christmas as the day he passed away. That episode gets me every time.

Peace,
Mr DJA

Actually is best to give it to yourself, so to speak winking smiley JK.... I was just checking to see if anyone was paying attention, it is surprising (not really) at how often no one notices.

Scrooged is my favorite. I also love National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

I've never actually invested in the "A Christmas Story" DVD since every Christmas TNT has it on a 24 hour loop starting Christmas Eve and wrapping up Christmas night.

T W E N T Y F O U R H O U R S I N A R O W... and funny enough, it never gets old.

I will add to the Christmas movie list
Tim Allen's "The Santa Claus" (1&2) pretty entertaining.

I've heard good things about the National Lampoon Christmas movie, someone goes nuts over it.

You know, it's fairly well known that at the first Christmas in 1914 in World War I, the enemy troops actually got together and celebrated and that is what "Noel/Happy Christmas" is about in French, English (Scottish soldiers are in the movie) and German. I really like it. They got together despite the battlelines.

I have sooo many that I watch each year. It's A Wonderful Life is actually my all-time favorite movie, it's almost unfair to pick a favorite Christmas movie, as that one blows away all movies, but after that one, in no particular order, I also own

Mr. Kreuger's Christmas
Silver Bells
Borrowed Hearts
A Christmas Card
Fallen Angel
Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
Frosty the Snowman

And I try to watch One Magic Christmas and A Christmas Wish.
