I would say that those RCA years were absulutely peak for Brian Jones in stylewise. he semed to have an eye to little details - like the shoes and the shirt here - that were quite unique choices. A cool looking dude - no wonder the girls went crazy for him.

(But I think he totally lost the sense to dress in 1967 when he started to look like an old tired hippie to dress any ridiculous stuff he could find and didn't suit for him.)

Unfortunately, I don't have the photographers credits since I've crashed my PC
some days ago, my whole database was saved with # under each pictures sad smiley
But I'm sure that some people here could help winking smiley

I think that above pic is from a 1965 tv appearance, possibly Ready, Steady, go.

This book will be available November next and should include the Bob Bonis pix, maybe at the RCA studios as well.

Once saw a fab photo of The Stones at RCA in August 65 (?), with all of them standing while Brian was sitting down, listening to playbacks. Anyone remember that one?

This is one enormously enjoyable thread (and thanks for the tip-off about the Bob Bonis book, which is now top of my shopping list!) Thanks everyone.

I like this picture. There are not so many fotos, where Mick looks like a regular mortal, one of us, rather then an allien(can't define it any better, hope you get what I mean)

I agree .But in 67 he also went very much into drugs and on "hippie stuff" ,plus he gained so much weight ..What a shame indeed .

In 1969 he wore trousers that he'd wore in 1966, so his weight gain wasn't that much.

Thanks for posting more pics! thumbs up

>> Keep em coming! <<

in that case - i will! :E

Keith with his 53 LP Goldtop - the first one looks like the same sessions as some of the above,
and since one of our very sharp-eyed cohorts once pointed out that bit of idiosyncratically-bent excess string
that's identical in both shots, the second one is likely to be from the same timeframe:

- 1966 (apparently feb/mar) by Stu

- 1966 (apparently feb/mar too) by Stu, courtesy of outtake.co.uk

I always thought he got the goldtop around the time of 1966 United States tour and after their 1966 appearance Ed Sullivan show where Satisfaction, As Tears go by and 19th nervous breakdown got performed.
