More Hot Rocks
Living right next to Buffalo, NY I can think of a few
1) Cory Wells - Three Dog Night
2) The Goo Goo Dolls
3) Gary Mallerbar - Drummer with Steve Miller at his peak
4) Spyro Gyra - Jazz fusion Band
5) Brian McKnight - Pop soul singer
How about you guys?

I'm from London. Which era shall we start with? Went to college with Sid Vicious, John Lydon and Jah Wobble. Madness went to the school down the road.

You also have the great Little Mountain Band We played a gig with them in Buffalo once. How are they doing, btw? I heard they got signed on a big label.

Was it obvious he had talent even then?
plenty of great artists from Nova Scotia. Joel Plaskett, Thrush Hermit, Sloan, The Super Friendz. East coast of Canada was really bustling in the early 90s.Quote

From Nova Scotia, Canada originally....Sarah Mclachlan if she counts as a rock star. Hank Snow as well.

More Hot Rocks:
Sounds like we are from the same hometown!
I will add to your list:
Rick James (RIP)
2/3 of the band Soulive (who have shared some bills with the Stones and are playing here on Friday)
Billy Sheehan (of Mr Big and David Lee Roth's band)
10,000 Maniacs (technically outside of Buffalo)
And a guy that should be a star, and has huge fans in Bruce Springsteen and Mike Peters: Willie Nile.
