It's funny how a song can take you back to a specific time and place. Every time I hear this one I'm transported back to the summer of 1968. I'm nine years old and I'm enjoying a plate of delicious fried shrimp at the seafood restaurant near the boardwalk at Jones Beach on Long Island, New York. If I could pick one song I'd like to hear when I'm on my death bed, I think it might be this one.
