Pass the Wine: question

Can any of you drummers, or anyone else, chart, describe or otherwise explain the kick drum in this song? I've been unable to discern a pattern. Fascinating piece of work, I think.

The kick drum seems to be played on the off-beats. If you are counting the high-hat in eighth notes: 1-and-2-and-3-and-4-and, then the kick drum pattern generally seems to emerge on the "and" beats. Except toward the end of a lengthy pattern, usually toward the end of the verse, where the kick drum plays on 'and-4-and".

At least that's what I hear.

Also, the beat itself, is not terribly dissimilar to the main beat that Charlie played during the lions share of the songs at any 72-73 live show; especially the uptempo songs.(although, because of Charlie's unbelievable feel, it often sounds like a different beat than "Pass The Wine".) It's derived from a New Orleans style of drumming (see Earl Palmer), but Charlie turned it into his own thang.

Thanks, I appreciate the thoughts. Any more?

Are Mick's vocals recorded in 2009/10 or in 1971/72?

Mick's vocals were recorded in 2009.
