I think it's a metaphor for violence in general, rampaging where there's no need or reason for it.

Just curious: why would it be a rocket launcher?
Yes, a mad bull is uncontrolled violence incarnate: in English there is also the expression "a bull in a china shop" for something mindlessly destructive.

I believe Christian is referring to Madbull Airsoft, a company that sells rocket launchers.

Just found this discussion of the song, very interesting analysis including guesses as to what would have been done differently in today's studio, as well as some track isolations.

The isolated tracks video up on that onstagemagazine site is pretty awesome, deserves to be posted here.
Love the Whoo! by someone listening to Merry's vocal and hearing her giving 110% on the line "murder" he just can't help but make an exclamation. Jagger?

We've reached the zenith of Glimmer out put. Words cannot descirbe the true essence of this song, it is an experience. From the shimmering strains of the intro to the orgasmic peak of Merry Clayton's backing...the perfect notes and timing of the guitar solo...simply perfection. The best rock song of all time and a song that never fails to move me.

As a stones fan and supporter, I feel invalid knowing I didn't give this song the credit it was due.
Listened to it 100 times but it didn't get into my top 5 for the majority of my fanhood then one day...boom to the top.
Now I think of it as a theatrical production...opening, main scenes, then crescendo....it's got all of that.
Sorry Glimmers, I hadn't grown up yet.
On a side note, "Lovin Cup" has also dramatically climbed on my rating chart.

Yes, great article, thanks for posting! "Also, notice how low the vocals sit in the mix." Can you imagine if Mick's vocal had been recorded way-up-front-and-center like on (to use a recent example) "Too Tight"? It would have bloody-well destroyed the track!
