When you go to a Stones concert do you just turn up on the night.Or do you like to get out on the town a bit..for a few days before and after the concert..with ya' mates..or even if you go alone to the concert.Because I certainly like to make the most of it when The Stones are in town and to do that I take my usual week off work...

At least concert-day...Watching DVDs and listening to CDs before the concert...buying some Stones-stuff on town, reading the papers about it...it's always Big Times when Stones is on my home-town...

I've had to travel every time since '94, so I have to take time off from work.

I suppose if they play my town again, and if other people I know travel here to see them, I'd take a couple of days off.

Hey boss ... can I have 6 months holiday twice a year?

Same with me. Pre show beers, catch up with fellow fans....get nice and relaxed. I don't listen to Stones songs on the way there or on the way back.

Two days off...and stay in whatever town they are playing, un less its very local to me...try and meet up with other Stones fans in local pubs

since i have to fly, it it usually day off 2 days before and one after gig day.

First I tell my collegues there is a tour. Then I tell them I will see a few shows. Then they know I will be gone for a while. But also, they do know I bring my PC, and the fact that I work also on tour.

Depends on where the Stones are playing. I've done both. But I like heading to the concert town at least one day before the concert.
At the Licks tour I travelled to Paris for a few days. The town had a real cool Stones vibe. Fans with Stones shirts all around town. Stones music in almost every bar.

Unless a show is on the weekend, I need two days off per show. (1) day of and (2) the day after.

Well, when I had my old job I took a couple of days per show and stayed at hotels and made it a mimi-vacation. I just started a new job so I will have to see how I can work it. I may have to LIE a lot! Or get fired. Or use all of my vacation time. Work is NOT the priority here!
