Missed opportunity for release of the material recorded in Toronto in '77. Shame as that would have been cool.

I love Keith and those albums are soulful beautiful music but are they really going to release that? its a disgrace, i'm shocked, the mans creativity and sense have left him, get the guys together and go and write some new songs!!

So it's the "Vinos" now & not the "Winos?"

And people say Mick is a whore. He couldn't be bothered to have much to do with the remasterd Exile. But this is a worthy project?eye rolling smiley

Can't see the point of this...weak, cynical marketing at it's worse. The possibilities for some true vintage Keith are mind boggling, yet they come up with this rag tag of very average rock songs which have already been released. I would estimate just about 99.9% of Keith fans will have all these songs already and about 80% of stones fans. If they think that by sticking Hurricane in there it will get me to buy it they are sadly mistaken. And they wonder why people download music!

He released those three albums 20 years ago. Why is a compilation so bad again? I agree that there should have been more new material on the album, though.

02. Wicked As It Seems
03. Take It So Hard
04. I Could Have Stood You Up (Live)
05. Too Rude (Live)
06. Make No Mistake (Live)
07. Time Is On My Side (Live)
08. Yap Yap
09. Eileen
10. Crawlin' Kingsnake (JL Hooker ft. KR)
11. Key To The Highway *
12. Locked Away
13. Gimme Shelter (Live)
14. Hate It When You Leave
15. Connection (Live)
16. Rockawhile (Live)

* I did wanted to add Tanqueray but I only had an MP3 avaialble... :-(

8 songs out of 14 of the official "HITS" CD.
Next time they can ask me for a nice compilation..... ;-)

It will be nice to have that stuff remastered, however.

I'll get it just for the remasteredness.

That and never having actually heard Hurricane.

It would be nicer if the drums are mixed down just a touch

Where the hell is "Runnin' Too Deep" or "Will But You Won't"?

A few too many snoozers on the Vinos.

not even one "snoozer" on the list - but i'd rather they remastered both albums

>> He couldn't be bothered to have much to do with the remasterd Exile <<

he apparently stayed pretty much away from the process of adding new overdubs,
but that doesn't mean he was in any way underinvolved in the rest of the re-issue process

This music deserves to be recognized again. I have no problem with it.

Even though there are no solo "hits", it's tracklist is way better than Mick Jagger's Best Of compilation, which I think suffered from bad track selection.

Keith's solo material could have been recorded yesterday, it's timeless in production and feel.

Jagger has made some FANTASTIC solo recordings (especially those from 1993), but the other things suffer from bad 80's production.

Roll on with it, Keith!

Well, there are some really obvious that he did on the new EOMS tracks. Especially audible on Alladin Story and Dancing In The Light. The latter had a great guitar track even before he added the new stuff. And Keith said himself that he did some acoustic overdubs. Not sure where they are, though.

Me too. Although I'll be mighty hacked off if he does a special edition a month later.

They say: "Stay in touch with KeithRichards.com for more information concerning street date, preorder options, cover art and other details".

I hope there's a limited edition with bonus DVD with the videos ... like the Best Of Mick.

The Best Of compiled out of 2 albums and 1 live recording + 1 bonus track? Geeezzz!!! There are great Keith's tracks that were never oficially released, there were better shows than Palladium that were recorded, some were even filmed - like Boston.

I don't see the point of releasing it in this form. Not many people will buy it, at least not me, having it all already - I don't have to have all the remasters unless there are more reasons to buy it - like the only remastered album I bought was the Exile - clearly not because of the remasteredness. That is the way to release the old stuff again! Otherwise it is like: let's put it out remastered, so that in 4 years we can put it out again with bonusses. Cash, cash, cash.

I always considered Hurricane being a Stones-track...

Run Rudolph Run and/or The Harder They Come from his first solo single
or You Win Again from the Hank Williams-tribute would have been
much better choices IMO.

I can remember seeing once in a record store the best of the Police sold for 20 euro, and the 5 cds the band recorded in their career for 4.90 each in the "best price" basket ...

The guy who came up with the concept of this Winos (or Vinos) best of must be the same who was behind Rarities.

OK that the book is due soon, but you don't need no Einstein to do better than that!

My prediction?

It's going to sell beteen 100 and 150 units world wide (depending on how many KR completists exist).

Yer not talking about such stellar stand out tracks as Charmed Life, Let's Work and Joy are you? Those are the best on there!

If you like horrible songs with horrible production.

The track selection of Mick's best of indeed stinks.
