In all seriousness, they were a great band in their day. But for me they are yet another casualty of the Classic Rock radio format here in America. Hearing the same 3 or 4 songs over and over again in heavy rotation for ten years in the 80's and 90' have caused their music to not age so well for me. Even the ones that didn't get played I don't really like now.

Maybe not the best one but I must say I'm very fascinated of I'm So Glad from the Goodbye Cream album. Three individualists that don't pay any attention to the other ones. All of them just playing solos on their own...

Never really liked Cream, always thought they were a bit overrated and Ginger Baker's military drumming @#$%& me off after a while!

Well for what it's worth. You can check this out. [www.songfacts.com]
If you don't believe that then ask Bluzdude. He emailed this to me today because he can't post from work....I believe that the late J.J. Jackson was told that by Either Jack Bruce or Eric Clapton, at least, that is where I heard it.....

Plus that's what I've always heard it stood for.

Re: SWLABR - Was came first...Walks popped up later, either way, it's close enough for government work, as we say.

<<<Thommie>>> Maybe not the best one but I must say I'm very fascinated of I'm So Glad from the Goodbye Cream album. Three individualists that don't pay any attention to the other ones. All of them just playing solos on their own...

That's what their shows were all about (not their TV appearances). They would sandwich a 3 minute song with a 10 minute instrumental where all 3 musicians would be doing their own thing to come back together for the conclusion. I know a lot of people couldn't stand this type of musical expression, but I for one, got it & loved it!

My top 5: (and this wasn't easy)...

1.Sitting On Top of the World (Live from "Goodbye Cream")
2. Spoonful (Live from Wheels of Fire)
3. Politician (Live from Goodbye Cream)
4. Tie-- NSU (Any live version)/I'm So Glad (Live Goodbye Cream)
5. Stormy Monday (2005 Royal Albert Hall Show)
