Wow! Texas is great, been there many times...but I'll take California's climate anyday. I think if I was told I had to move to Texas (especially Houston) I would get depressed rather quickly.
Well, I grew up in LA so I know the weather there, and I've been to Texas many times and love it there. The people are great, the food is great, the music scene is great. But SF is for the birds. The novelty of living here wore off really fast.
I understand and respect your point, but there is much more to California than just L.A. (which I'm not a big fan of, but I will most likely stay until I retire) and S.F.
