I am new to the list so I can't speak to past discussions on it, however, I have a copy of it within reaching distance as we speak. I found it to be a very interesting and highly informative. Can't imagine anyone claiming to be either a fan of the Stones or Grateful Dead not having read it.

I mailed about it before.

But I don't think it is that good! Quite interesting especially for 69 lovers but not an important Stones book.
And I expected more from him.

Ha ha - you were cross-treaded there CousinC! The new vicious threat lurking about in the dark corners of IORR winking smiley

I bought the book recently because of the previous discussions here on the board, but when starting to read it I didnĀ“t find it very interresting. Sorry to say, Im so anal about it I cant seem to jump too much in a book without loosing the flow of it, so I really tried to get through Sams childhood memories but those parts were SO long. In the end I put it away before getting to the good parts.

Will have another go at it soon.

Wanne tease me ?!?

I said in different threads like "County Honk", etc. that I personally liked it because of the 69 tidbits. But I said as well that it is no great or important book to me! And I said more or less the same in this thread!

All in fun, CousinC. winking smiley Your previous thread is consistent with this one.

Personally, I thought it was a good read. I could have done without the parts about his parents & early life and I would have appreciate more detail about the Hyde Park concert. But overall, I liked it.

I thought it was a good story about Sams life. Liked where he wrote about catching up with the stones in Australia during the Licks tour, nice gesture from Charlie.
