I thought that their contracts indicated that the Rolling Stones must include Jagger, Richards and Watts.

Remember how hard the 80's were........it was like one looooooong decade without the Stones. Solo albums made things worse, seeing a wrecked Keith and ronnie with Dylan on Live Aid nearly made me cry and realize that Jagger was the only Stone with a pulse left ;-)
Fortunately things to a nice turn and they returned!But to be honest I thought that would be the end of the Stones thenm!

Bill Murray said he thought the Stones were split up when he announced Ronnie with Buddy Guy and Johnny Lang at the Clapton guitar fest on Saturday.
