Arles is only 30 minutes distant from my home.
It's one of the oldest city in France.
Below, some pictures that just came from the oven (35°C / 95°F this afternoon in Arles).
The Arles photography festival (" Rencontres Internationales de Photographie" ) is the biggest yearly event in the world for the photo exhibitions.
More than 30 different exhibitions places in the city.

I've added some pictures of this gorgeous city in Provence.

First of all, Sir Mick Jagger, at the "Eglise des Trinitaires".
It is said that is the first ever exhibition dedicated to Mick only and endorsed by Mick himself :

Fantastic photographs - both on the walls as well as your shots! thank you for posting them all. I can't believe you saw Radiohead at that "Theatre Antique" - wow! that must've been amazing. I can feel that hot dry heat just looking at those outdoor photos. Very cool - again, thanks.

A catalogue was published for this exhibition.
It contains all the pictures showed in Arles.
Mid-size format, maybe a little expensive for the content (35€) but the pictures are wonderfully reproduced.

Apparently, at this point, it's only available in Arles.
But it will be available online very soon.

Boy, I am a stonesfan, but an old church full of Jagger photos is a bit too much for me. Mick Jagger will probably enjoy it, so what. The photos are looking very good, but sometimes the hype becomes too big.

Great book and awesome expositions (Soul Survivors) until en of September (if you are in holiday in Paris, don't hesitate).

Thanks so much for showing us those great Mick pictures!! I hope I can find a copy of that book one day. We all have seen most of those shots but to have them in one collection would be great.

I went there last week end.
Seeing Jagger's photos was a great pleasure indeed but the church was SO hot & humid ,I wondered how it didn't spoil them.
Some pictures are hanged way too high on the wall .

Plus the exhibitions & museums in France are always so expensive ,7 euros to watch some 40 pics ...it's a shame !

Maybe you pay a share for the maintenance of the church as well.

Think that the Rijkmuseum entrance costs only 12,50 euros ,the MOMA 20 $,The British museum admission is free & open EVERY DAY ....and I had to pay 7 euros to watch pictures that I already knew by heart .I must be completely stupid .Or in love .
