Anyone have a selection for "oddest cover"? Mine would have to be Joe Pass' version of "19th Nervous Breakdown" from "Stones Jazz". Martini sippin" lounge Stones.

To clarify this post, do you mean oddest song The Stones covered, OR oddest original Stones tune someone else covered?

"Well my heavy throbbers itchin' just to lay a solid rhythm down"

The Stones doing Cherry Oh Baby. It's one of those plane crashes where only the tail is left in one piece and everything else is just destroyed.

Sorry, could have been clearer...Stones song done by another artist..Wondering if there is something weird out there Stones related like William Shatner doing Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds with the Beatles.

I remember a Mick interview, - said the most covered stones song was Sympathy for the Devil, including a recitation by a Russian poet or something - I think I heard it one time, was a bit scaring

I've only ever heard a few. The worst to me?

That abortion on tape of Guns 'N' Roses' Sympathy For The Devil. Slash new that was the end. What a horrendous way to leave that legacy.

Not quite a cover but Dave Matthews was terrible on Memory Motel.

The Stones covering Love Train was odd.
