I'm thinkin I hope that Slash joins the Faces tour when they get to the east coast. I mean, how bad could that possibly be. I think the haters need to stfu and go buy some tickets when they come around in the fall.

Ronnie sounds and looks alright. He had some really bad tours in the past, but he surely wasn't the weak link in the last tour. Strange but I always seem to get the impression that Ronnie is much better and more dynamic guitarist outside the framework of the Stones (since 1982), or that he has much more potential than what be usually heard. Somehow his hands are frozen, he sounds forced, the guitar mixed down, etc. within the Stones context. I suppose of the Stones members Ronnie has suffered most of the Cohl-era Vegas strict, pre-ordered show arrangements. Just read a Ronnie interview from 1981 tour where he mentioned that he is not allowed to play extra solos, but try to follow the songs and their arrangements faithfully - and that was in 1981, the golden days of the weaving!

whenever Ronnie is not on the stage with the Stones and turned down he seems to be really really good. I mean, sure - that Negrita riff is not so difficult, but he probably didn't play it in ages and pulled it off just fine (wrong key, but that's not an technical ability question...).

He lowered the key years ago when he played HN live on his solo shows Go, Ronnie!

This man really rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For what it is worth, lately Ronnie has been playing (and singing, for him anyway) really well. I have noticed on his radio show (thanks again for posting it on here) that his "noodling" around between songs is quite good. Also, his vocals on his new tracks are the best he has sounded in a long while.

I love Ronnie. Thank God for Ronnie, the most "street" Stone of all.

His Slide on this gig in Tokyo was great, kicked ass.

With the Stones he sucked rather big deal every time I saw him!

....you do have to wonder how much inspiration RW has given them....probably more than we'll ever know.
