Lots of buzz around the NAMM convention here in Anaheim that Keith might be making an appearance this weekend, or at least will be lurking - many rumors already have him here in Anaheim, at Disneyland and visiting certain guitar booths... stay tuned

Just saw this in the paper--will keep my eyes peeled...

Taylor Swift, Elton John expected at music show
January 13th, 2010, 3:00 am by Sarah Tully
Celebrities ranging from 20-year-old Taylor Swift to 66-year-old Keith Richards may turn up in Anaheim this weekend.
But don’t expect to see them.
That is, unless you are registered for the NAMM Show, a major music products convention.
The massive annual convention is set to return Thursday to the Anaheim Convention Center, drawing more than 85,000 people from around the world over four days to the Disneyland area.
The trade show is closed to the public. Only those in the music business are allowed in.
Everything from guitar strings and amplifiers to sheet music and trombones will cover the entire 815,000-square-foot center and spill out to nearby hotels for the International Music Products Association convention. (NAMM is the acronym for former name of the group — the National Association of Music Merchants.) Some companies also sponsor private concerts and parties.
The convention means big bucks — and clogged roads and parking lots — for the Anaheim area. The convention generates about $70 million for the local economy, according to the association.
Among the attendees will be more celebrities than in recent years, said Scott Robertson, the association’s spokesman.

Yeah, I know. I have a few friends who served in Vietnam.

That's what I found confusing about the thread title.

I believe NAM is the generally accepted nickname for the conflict in Vietnam.

I had no idea what NAMM was when I read the title, but I did like the play on words.

For a moment there I thought you were suggesting that Keith was on exchange from Her Majesty's forces to an Australian unit, and did a tour. Then I read the thread.

Sure ! smiling smiley
At 1st read ,I thouht that hbwriter was refering to the "real "NAM" & was surprised he made a spelling mistake -)-)

I've discovered recently that in the "Vietnam Veteran's slang ,ROCKn'ROLL meant : firing of weapons on full automatic.
