Allez, allez la Suisse!
Go Switzerland, go!
I love it when the under dog teaches the "superior team" a lesson.

WOW!!!
ESP vs SUI June 16th 2010....
This is exciting. This is a the type of match non fans
should watch to get them interested in football. The
0-1 score (@ 78:00)is not an indicator of the great action....... so many close calls.

update eidt-
And the Swiss win it.....WOW!!!

LOL..wasnt it Dud who sang that one?

Good game (for a change in an otherwise dire tournament so far) and a terrific result for the Swiss.

Still think Spain have enough to win the tournament, though.

Saw only the very last minutes: exciting! This is what football makes so attractive too sometimes: the underdog beats the favourite. The ball is round!

I guess Spain will correct this the next two games. They are certainly not bad.

All of a sudden,a draw with the USA doesn't seem too bad!

Brazil could get the 2nd round match they really didn't want.

I love football!!

The only (fancied) team to show any sparkle so far then after one game each is Germany

Who'd have thought that ?

Sadly, I did not get tickets for Slash today.

Got back home from the inner city of Zurich. Most people stayed at their offices till the "game was over"(we were allowed to watch it...) and all came out after, thousands and thousands on one time .. very happy people everywhere. Langstrasse Area is closed, no coming through anymore. Here in Zurich-Schwamendingen the turkish kids are waving swiss flags.. thats the spirit I love.

Swiss played a monumental match today. They should be proud to have beaten such a fine side. Spain really brought it, but could not find the back of the net. This was a best match of the tournament thus far. Really entertaining game, by any standards. I love this.

Here I am!!!
Congratulation Switerland!!!
Today won best team who could administer the goal not the best one.
Still two matches to improve the mistakes, but so far Spain and Germany are the best teams, wayyyy so far.
Don´t get out value to the Swiss victory, we know in sports sometimes when you don´t take advantage of the situations and opportunities, happen what happened today, It reminds me same match against USA in SouthAfrica last January, remember?
Again, Felicidades Swiss people!!!!

PD, I was working while the game was on, just got off my work now 10:30, and sometimes went to the cafetería to see the match on tv, people over here very sad.

And by the way Massimo!!!
Remember Italy in Spain 82 won the World Cup, after they didn´t won any match in the previous leg, FC Barcelona won 6 titles in 2009 after they lost their first game in Liga and they equalize the second game against Santander...

Yeah what happened to Spain anyway? I work with an Irishman and he says that three-quarters of the Swiss team is amateurs or playing D-3. Of course, he's full of it even on a good day.

Sorry for wasting your time. Thinking back, he had them confused with Sweden. I'm well aware of Switzerland's ability. And apparently so is Spain!?!??!!!

And for those are laughing about Spain, today possesion of ball almost 75%, 21 shots to goal, Switzerland just 3, one possible penalty to Silva first half, etc...
Swiss won, fine, but as Frank Sinatra sang a long time ago, BEST IS YET TO COME...
