Funny how that song has grown on people, me included.

Here's what I think: Sticky is a masterpiece, nearly perfect. But it stays the same. I don't get anything new out of it.

Exile, on the other hand, with all its murk and mystery, reveals itself in different colors and layers over time. A third guitar here, a harmony there. Something in the fade-out. The other day I suddenly found myself really noticing the bass on Sweet Virginia, for example. There's alchemy in that damn record. I don't know how they did it, but there's alchemy and voodoo there. The album is a living, breathing thing.

Lou Reed got away with "Holly never lost her head, even when she was givin' head"

I believe that line was cut from the single, or at least the version played on the radio.
