I miss Mac. That was a great Faces-esque tune!

There are a few people out there who, effortlessly, keep the spirit alive. The real rock'n roll spirit. Mac being one of them.
Another one was Joe Strummer. The last film on him ( I think it is called "The Future Is Unwritten") has some of the very best true rock'n roll I have ever seen or heard.

Really enjoyed that tune !! Thank you for posting.

On a side note, that backup singer, Patti Griffin, has a few CDs that have been a big part of my life for the last 10 or so years. The most notable being Flaming Red. I highly recommend it....

Pity they always leave out he was a member of the Small Faces, too.
I know that here in the States they're not as well-received as in England,
but to me, the Small Faces have a better body of work than the Faces do.

Caught it on tv a few days ago. Such a lovely song. Great performance. The Bumb Band is really a delightful combo

<<it's about his wife isn't it>>

The whole record is basically about her

Buy the album, Never Say Never. If you go to Mac's website, you can buy it directly from him - he'll sign it for you and everything.

not sure i agree Tom but what a cool thing to say; i've loved them since the first Immediate lp hit the streets with 'itchypoo' (minor hit in states)...you get me thinkin' their whole body of work; the absolute perfection in the soul ferocity of steve out front. kenny, ron (when ron left Faces definetly the final zero point for me)....
i theenk ogdens nut gone flake... mac, kenny, ronny...lots of stuff...
saw your post and thought not sure i agree but hey...it's hard to compare the late sixties entrance of rod and woody; it's own huge extention when the best invasion bands were either making the changes to big sound (like stones in '69 tour!),...or not...loved mariott in humble pie...i don't need no doctor live is so slamming.,....yeh the small faces...
be so cool if they put it back together for some dates...Mac is international treasure...the real deal for sure...love love love his wurlizer rhythm with woody's git...just masterful...still is...

Those string of singles they had from '65-'68 are monsters (even the B-sides).
All Or Nothing is one of the best records ever made.
An incredible band that I appreciate more and more as time goes on...
plus they were better dressed than even the Beatles and Stones sometimes.
