IMHO...this is a no brainer for many reasons...think of the money,politics & bruised egos that will surface if/when the band decide to release a new record...think of the deep well of imagination & talent that exists in their fan base...think of the global press that would come their way for little paid !...they would be flooded with incredible artwork from fans who have dreamed to show their stuff...entries could be photo's, paintings,drawings..etc...artwork should look good on a vinyl lp..single or gatefold...Grand prize winner gets some $$, laminate for 'all access' pass for the whole tour...and a photo op with the band...4 runner ups get their work on the cd singles, extras etc....sound good so far ?...the next 25,50,75 or 100 runner ups get their work combined on a poster which will come with the CD/LP versions...now THIS would be cool....imagine....peter

Since CDs took over it isn't that important with albumcover art anymore.
