The new (January '09) issue of Playboy (I read it strictly for the articles><) contains a ranking called "The 55 Most Important People in Sex" ... and the Stones are at #7 (ahead of many other celebs including Madonna and Elvis).

Next to a great photo of Mick (circa 1975), the following caption appears:

"More than any other band, the Stones infused a primal, sweaty sexuality into popular music. While Mick Jagger sang about the joys of 'Brown Sugar' the Stones' early competition on the charts serenaded meter maids. So who's still with us?"
