I think 'Doo Doo...Heartbreaker' is more reflective of the 70's New York.

Shattered is my favorite Ron Wood era Stones song. I do not like the song live though. I know some don't like it. But one of my all-time favorites and to me the best song about the big apple save for Sinatra's New York, New York.

Have to say, if I was going to include a Bob Dylan song that 'captured' New York, 'Visions of Johanna' (whilst it's probably his greatest ever record) wouldnt be anywhere near the first one I would think of.

A tenuous connection at best.

PJ Harvey should be way higher than 22. That song is sublime (speaking as someone who lived in NYC for 17 years).
