boy oh boy what a bunch of haters of a functioning and hard working band that hey did you hear just put out a NEW album of BRAND NEW(sonic boom) music and embarked on a world tour (kiss alive 35) and will be starting the second european leg (sonic boom over europe) of the tour as opposed to another group that is not making any NEW MUSIC and as far as working goes is mining the vaults for lost and forgotten treasures from long ago .dont hate GENE for going for the money because who has been doing it a lot longer and better than the demon himself (jagger).that all i ask for is my favorite bands out there plying there trade !!!!!!!!!!!!
That's because Kiss does'nt have any vaults to mine. If they're really so good, take off the makeup. Drop the pyro and just play....And stop firing the couple of decent band members they had in the first place.
i agree with you about firing a couple of decent (ace frehley, and peter criss) band members .also ace frehley was not fired he quit in 2003 because he said he was not going to open for aerosmith when aerosmith used to open for KISS in the seventies .

Hopefully he is ok. One question, no humor intended. Shouldn't it be called chest cancer?

Actually KISS took the make up off for quite a few years, and they Rocked.
Bruce Kulick was there Lead Guitarist for many of those Years & Eric was
no slouch on Drums either

KISS is kind of like Grand Funk Railroad, an "Acquired Taste" But it is RnR

Replacing two old members with similar looking guys (including makeup style)
is near a fraud.

I saw KISS play in an 800 capacity club in London without any stage show or effects last week (well they had the costumes and their logo, but that was all) and they were absolutely awesome.

I would sooner listen to a KISS album than anything by U2, that's for sure!

Sorry if we have Kiss fans here but I think Kiss is a ridiculous band.

Talking about the man who recently started a new career as porn-actor/publisher?
As much as I used to love Kiss, that man really makes me sick!

Absolutely right: Wood and Taylor / Wyman and Jones are like twins.

Wow. Had no idea that the Stones had ever done such a thing.

Those Stones...dolls are awful! It's stunning that those were even allowed!

Does Mick run around buying his own shirts etc like Simmons does?

Got myself a Captain Teague McFarlane figure. Looks a lot like one of my mates.

Does a grown up(?) man really need a toy sitting next to his TV?

Yeah. you bet he does!!

Rockin'!!

These were on sale from rs.com and at Stones' concerts.

Uncanny likeness, eh?

Speaks volumes that you could buy these monstrosities at shows on the last tour (for about £50 a pop) and yet couldnt buy the CD that the tour was supposed to be promoting.

Simmons is a funny guy. I'll will give him props for his business savvy,he is a very smart guy. One the other hand, KISS sucks musically IMO.

His frugality is also apparent in his TV show as he spray paints his head black to cover his thining hair. He can afford follicle transplants. Come on Gene, spends some money on your melon.

Me too! I was there and it was fab. I much prefer Kiss to U2 but as much as I love Kiss they couldn't do a stadium tour and sell as many tickets as the Stones or U2.

hahaha Kiss is far from having the success Stones, U2 or even AC/DC has. The numbers speak for themself. Its not even a contest.

If it was a "Clowns lookalike" contest, then I guess Kiss would win. >grinning smiley<

I respect your take on this, but I just wanna add that every time the Stones release new material 'we' whine about it; and as far as opening these vaults are concerned, 'we' have been crying for that for years- so it's something you can hardly blame the band for.

Helps to keep the doll maker from being sued in case someone does something stupid.

Stuff like this has been rampant, especially since the McDonald's "coffee incident."
