I would liked to have gone, and Queenie would have liked to have gone, but right now we both have other priorities that require money.

I had just bought my tickets to the IndyCar race in Texas before finding out Rotten & Company were playing in Vegas the same night.
At least I'll be doing something else I enjoy, but I probably would have changed my mind if I knew.

Saving up for the next Stones tour?

yes - it seems to be their only US date, unfortunately. i'm glad i didn't plan for it - too much regular life stuff going on.

They are planning to tour in the US in the fall. A friend of mine when he met Rotten last year here in L.A., asked him about any upcoming tour plans for the US and Rotten responded saying "we have something saucy planned for the US".
When their European tour dates were announced, it was also stated in the media that the Pistols were hoping to tour the US with their own festival, so we'll see if the festival idea pans out.

great news - i'm glad i didn't fly out to vegas for the show. i expect they'll play chicago - maybe the aragon ballroom!
I think a festival tour, with performances a bunch of Pistols-influenced bands, followed by the Pistols themselves, is the way to go. If they tour on their own, they'll have to play small theatres. There really wasn't all that much interest here in 1996, and even less in 2003, but a festival tour might just work for them.

Damn, talk about a band that should quit. I've just never been able to get into the Sex Pistols. Aren't they pretty much a joke now, being old men and raging about the Queen of England and all that trollop? Those songs have just not aged well, for me anyway.
Yeah, exactly, Pistols in VEGAS? That is SO not punk rock...
