I'm a fan of both, but Moon River? That was lame.

That was wonderful! Thank you! Generally speaking, I am not a big fan of Beck's music. But I enjoy it more when I watch him play rather than merely listening to a recording. He's an extraordinary player. When he plays songs to my limited musical taste, I am entralled. A little while ago I heard his "A Day In The Life" be a backing track for an ice skater. Recently I watched his performance at Ronnie Scott's. Clapton guested on a couple of songs and it was terrific as well. There's something reassuring and thrilling about watching two pros go at it.
Beck seems like a bit of an odd duck, but I found my heart going out to him during that RS performance. I understand his bass player is causing a stir.

He has a new bass player now, for this tour, anyway.

Lame? Oh, grow up! Both gents are in their mid-60's now and perhaps they feel a more mature approach is needed at times. It's each to their own I guess, but I thought it worked very well, indeed.

Chill out Big Al, just voicing my opinion for crying out loud.

I remember in the 1970's EC would open a show with "Smile"
and then back during the 2001? Tour he closed the show with
"Somewhere, Over the Rainbow"
Would you rather hear Layla for the 10,000 time?Quote
