Thanks, Big Al!

Did anyone else go the 13th or 14th at the O2?

I'm attending the NYC show Fri. Feb. 19th...who else is
there or on Feb. 18th?

I was there (front row!) on the 14th. Great show. I like Jeff's new rhythm section.

You might have to scrape me off the floor at the end of the tour, but it'll be really good scrapings. - Mick Jagger

Great guitar playing something we have not seen in the Stones for a long time.

Any recordings of these two shows circulating yet?

I'm seeing Clapton & Winwood in Belgrade, Serbia on 9. VI 2010. Half of Blind Faith!

That was wonderful! Thank you! Generally speaking, I am not a big fan of Beck's music. But I enjoy it more when I watch him play rather than merely listening to a recording. He's an extraordinary player. When he plays songs to my limited musical taste, I am entralled. A little while ago I heard his "A Day In The Life" be a backing track for an ice skater. Recently I watched his performance at Ronnie Scott's. Clapton guested on a couple of songs and it was terrific as well. There's something reassuring and thrilling about watching two pros go at it.

Beck seems like a bit of an odd duck, but I found my heart going out to him during that RS performance. I understand his bass player is causing a stir.

I'm a fan of both, but Moon River? That was lame.

Yeah, sounds like it could be a boring show - that's why I passed for NYC

I wouldn't like Stones playing music like the last song. (I don't like Keith's songs either).

Lame? Oh, grow up! Both gents are in their mid-60's now and perhaps they feel a more mature approach is needed at times. It's each to their own I guess, but I thought it worked very well, indeed.

pmk, I have felt the same way about Jeff Beck, enjoying him much more while watching him perform, on the whole. Luckily I saw him years ago and then in EC's last Guitarfest. I'm looking forward to the show. He has a new bass player now, for this tour, anyway.

I was there Saturday night. Beck was on top form and stole the show for me. I never thought I'd see him play Hi Ho Silver Lining; great atmosphere, everyone singing along at the end. I thought Moon River was great. Peter

I hope there is another jam session where Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page could do and Robert Plant and Rod Stewart and various others participate in it.

Chill out Big Al, just voicing my opinion for crying out loud.
I remember the Andy Williams version of Moon River in the '60's...my mom used to love that song.
She'd probably like this version as well.sad smiley

Eric singing "Moon River" is a stretch, but getting to hear what Beck does with that lovely melody is nice. It's a pretty song. When you are at an age when you have nothing to prove you can try anything. Why not?

I remember in the 1970's EC would open a show with "Smile"
and then back during the 2001? Tour he closed the show with
"Somewhere, Over the Rainbow"

I know Beck has recently closed shows with an Over the Rainbow instrumental.

Would you rather hear Layla for the 10,000 time?

I wonder what happened to Beck's other bass player? Tal something. She was great.

Go Dawgs!
