Ive always wanted to hear what this song sounded like on BTB and never did till now, when I found this. Really nice version, I think I might prefer it to the album. Ive heard this song compared to a Hoagy Carmichael ballad before and I really hear that in this version. Chuck Sounds really cool on this, everyone does. Ron Is a little sloppy but it works.

Exquisite and so melancholy. I always loved this oblique and overlooked gem on Emotional Rescue...it is such a despairing, heartbreaking song...and this is a superb version from my favorite post-Tattoo tour...the Stones presenting a smoky, jazzy theme and Keith sings it straight from the heart. The backing vocals are lovely, Chuck's piano work is very tasty and Keith's guitar work spare and elegant. Great post, ryanpow...thank you.

A terrific version. St. Louis 1997 - good times. Keith at his lazy, jazz-crooner best.

Not only is Ron sloppy, but his guitar tone it is quite possibly the worst I have ever heard on a Rolling Stones song. Keith is soulful and great.

Thanks for posting. Never saw the footage of this song from St. Louis. What a damn fine show...Keith in top form. Great song.

This song didn't really work for me until they pulled it out for the B2B tour.

Exactly. This is time the "Vegas" atmosphere works for the band absolutely fine; they adapt it to kick the best out of it. I think this shows Keith Ricahrds's true artistic greatness; it doesn't matter the means, if the heart and feeling is present. I have claimed that Keith could anyday do a Hoagy Carmichael kind of tour to be backed with a real Vegas band, and still kick major ass, and this clip verifies it. Truely wonderful version of a great song.

No, first show of the tour in Chicago was, there's a soundboard of the entire show, Under My Thumb was the Web-Choice.

Is this from the same show as the official B2B DVD? If so, it is a shame it was left out, cause it is really great.

Glad Ya'll like it. Now its time to start complaining: I wish Bobby was louder in the mix like he is in the studio version.

Re: Ronnie's playing, I like what he adds, its kind of a 70's R&B sound.

Good one vudicus. That was funny! HA HA.

I don't know about a VHS edition of Bridges To Babylon Live. I only know of the DVD and it does not have All About You on it, just Wanna Hold You.

WHY I don't know. There's plenty of room on the damn thing and they left 3 songs off the disc. Or something like that. Which makes no sense. They put so many in Let's Spend The Night Together right? So if they're concerned about performance then they need to go back and remove about 40 songs from LSTNT.

There's two DVD's here. One is the St. Luis show broadcast which has the entire show and its available on bootleg, then there's the official Bridges to Bablyon DVD which contains most of that show...iTs missing All about you, the last time and if i'm not mistaken Corina, The Taj Majal Guest Spot.
