I was watching this video, Hang fire, from Tatto You, and its very funny in my opinion, but just a question what does Hung fire mean?
I can extract litterally the meaning but I am not sure,
What about the Jagger´s pants? laughs of Keith and Jagger, the Mummy face of Wymnan, one of the cheapesta and greatest videos of the history amigos, just to refresh your memory, Hang fire....

hang fire chill
1. hang fire 4 up, 2 down

1. An unexpected delay between a firearm being triggered and the bullet actually firing. (whereas a misfire is when you pull the trigger and NOTHING happens)

2. A state of relaxation, and/or where nothing gets done. Taken from the Rolling Stones song "Hang Fire" and applied as an entirely new term. Basically to chill.

1. "That hang fire during shooting practice scared the crap out of me!"

2. "Hey man, let's hang fire later tonight."

Hang around not doing anything....hang about...kill time

when/where i was growing up, the term meant something like "bide one's time before taking action".
usually used as an imperative - along the lines of "wait and see" or "don't jump the gun".
since i grew up with that sense of it, naturally enough that's how i always understood the lyric too.
close enough to the other proposed meanings, i reckon ... well except for the ya yas proposal anyway ...

I was being somewhat facetious.(there's a shocker) what I really meant was that why must we analyze everything. can't anything just be FUN? .................................So sorry about your Chargers.

Don't forget the charming out of synch audio and image...

We always thought it meant lighting a cigarette (or a J).

Hang fire is nearly the same as "say what the hell" which is also in the song. Its like saying damn the consequences and its an attitude which fits a song about layabouts in a welfare country. Sad to compare this to Let's Work which tackled the same topic just six years later with quite depressing results.
