Hoo - the mid-Atlantic gets cut out> What is this all about anyway? First I've heard. I like it. Always thought Daltrey needed a different muse. But what do I know! He was supposed to come to Baltimore at Symphony Hall, but cancelled, so he must have some original material now.

Strange places for Daltrey to play. The Who never had much of a following in the south. On most tours, they don't even go there (except Texas, where they have always had a loyal following).

Check this out!

While looking at the 6 March date for New Orleans, Ticketmaster has this posted:

*** VERY IMPORTANT !! ***

The New Orleans Arena is located in New Orleans, LA. Sales to this event will be restricted to residents of Louisiana, Mississippi, S. Alabama, and the panhandle of Florida. Residency will be based on credit card billing address. Orders by residents outside of this area will be canceled without notice and refunds given.

All ticket orders will be sent out after December 17.

What the heck?

If I want to go see the Stones in Europe next time around, will I be able to buy a ticket?

I've decided that this tour makes little sense and is nothing to get exicted about. I'm going to wait for the Pete Townshend/Jack Bruce tour.

Eric seems to be revisiting his past; Yardbirds (Beck), Blind Faith (Winwood), Cream (Cream), but what is his link to Roger Daltrey? The only one I can think of is Eric's performance of "Eyesight To The Blind" when Ann-Margaret brings Daltrey to Eric's church to kiss the feet of a Marilyn Monroe statue in the hope that it will cure his deafness, dumbness, and bindness in the 1975 film of The Who's Tommy.

Maybe so.

There are only three US beck/clapton shows, two in nyc, one in toronto.

Not true. They've been to NC and FL numerous times......Texas? just Texas?

I think that makes 2 US shows and 1 show in Canada. Toronto is in Canada.

There's also a Clapton/Beck show in Montreal.

Florida doesn't count. It's full displaced northerners. The Who tend to avoid the deep south. They always did best in the northern industrial cities.
