Special Stones moments that you witnessed?
Posted by: Bimmelzerbott ()

Who here wittnessed a unique or special Stones moment, eg. the infamous "shoe incident" on the '78 tour, Altamont, Boston '72? I remember a few years ago I read a post (I believe it was in the Mick Jagger forum) of someone who was in the audience of the Ed Sullivan show when they taped "Let's Spend SOME TIME togehter".

Would love and appreciate if you'd share your story.

Weird moment. Stones in Shanghai, after Keith's tree fall, he narrowly missed being killed! A stage curtain bag full of sand fell from two stories and missed him literally by inches, he looked at the splattered bag and sand on the stage and shrugged then went into one of his classic Keith poses...

Mick smoking what smelled like hash and Keith putting on an Electric Ladyland CD and playing Voodoo Chile (the long one) real loud. Those special moments that I witnessed happened on different days.

on second thought: in a larger sense, they are all special.

in the evenings and in the mornings, when we set out on our journeys and when we return home,
we will speak of them.

I saw Phoenix '81 with all the Honky Tonk Women and Mick running into the audience during Let Me Go and the great fireworks after the show. All of which was in the LSTNT movie. I saw the show at MGM Vegas the day Mick's dad died. I didn't know his dad had died until the next day but the show that night did seem extra special, like the band had closed ranks and really pulled together somehow.
