Beacon ticket - May have one available
Posted by: scelsa ()
Date: October 26, 2006 17:36

Have one for both shows with no intention of going to the first one as I cannot be in the same place as that "person" they are supposedly honoring.

That said, question remains whether there is a way to let someone else use that ticket that is in my name???????????

Nope. Its non transferable - thats the whole point of the ticket/wristband deal. To deter scalpers getting tickets and selling them on.

Even if you had bought two tickets, the fact that as the buyer youve chosen not to go would invalidate the extra ticket too.

I saw nutbags on ebay that say meet them at the box office and after they put the wristband on the scalper, he'll transfer it to your wrist. Yeah that's so easy to do without breaking it!

because the broker is presumably going and they have a spare. Most of the ones I've seen offered mention about meeting up with the seller the day before. thats obviously because they have to turn up at the theatre together to pick them up

Read the fine print. Some of them say if you don't get in, you get your money back.

Either send an e-mail to rs.com (or the place you bought the ticket), and say that you can't go. Or bring a woman from this board, and say that she's your wife...and that the ticket is for her.
Otherwise, you're doing a really bad thing.

You can do this in seven easy steps.

1. Pick up the ticket in your name, with your ID, etc.

2. See if it's possible not to wear the wrist band, for example say that you have to work in an enviroment where wearing a wristband is not allowed (machinery, or with clients/ customers who wouldn't accept it) or say that you're attending a religious service (funeral/ wedding--you're in the wedding party, etc where a wrist band wouldn't be a good thing.

3. If they don't permit that, then put the wristband on and depart.

4. Very carefully cut the wristband off

5. Buy some gorilla glue (or crazy glue)

6. Carefully apply glue to wristband when wristband is around the appropriate wrist.

7. Provide ticket to the hand that's attached to the right wrist.

Shake hands and come out singing

Just relax and go see the show. After all, you are going to see the Stones, not Clinton.

Besides, at least Clinton just screwed a woman, warmonger Bush is screwing the whole country.

And most important, confide in the Plexiglass and you will receive direction on what to do.

Still cant grasp the point of buying a ticket for a show you had no intention of seeing - when another fan missed out on getting one because of sheer pettiness

If your hatred for merely being in the same building as Clinton is that much greater than your enthusiasm for seeing the Stones in concert (let alone in a theatre!) then on point of principle you - just like those tossers who were burning Beatle records when Lennon made his comment about Jesus - should display your outrage by burning your Stones records in protest outside the theatre on the night of the show.

You mightnt get rid of your ticket but at least you might get the attention your 'protest' needs.

I'll take it! Bill is a great American unlike the present scumbag.
This is about a Stones show, isn't it?
I hope this isn't Vin Scelsa. Ths disillusionment would leave me shattered.

Sound advice indeed Camper, however the recipient's wrist would need to be of a smaller circumference than the donor's (scelsa's) for this to work....

Or the original recipient would have to ask for a little slack because of sensitive skin that got chaffed the last time he/she wore one of these bands.

I'm sure they'd be open to giving a lil slack.

hi scelsa,
i'll take it! i think i have little chance of winning a ticket in because my SS# will lead detectives to see that i have a record of being arrested for civil disobedience and therefore am a "terrorist" - now THAT would really show Clinton - huh? letting in a terrorist! i'll be there saturday after the AC show. valerie 312-391-5537, vhchalcraft@yahoo.com

Seriously. What's the problem with Clinton.

Didn't come from a wealthy family (Bush)
Didn't come from a politically connected family (Bush)
Didn't get into the best colleges in the country because of his last name (Bush)
- And yet he's against Affirmitive Action!
Didn't spend the first 40 years of his life drunk (Bush)
Didn't repeal all of the environmental laws in the country (Bush)
Didn't take more vacations than any other president in history (Bush)
- During wartime at that!
Didn't initiate a war to avenge his father's failure (Bush)
Didn't give no-bid contracts to companies he's connected with (Bush)
Didn't allow the oil companies to run the country (Bush)
Didn't go AWOL while serving some sweetheart military position (Bush)
Didn't surround himself with yes-men who tell him what he wants to hear (Bush)
Didn't appoint unqualified friends of the family to run important goverment agencies (Bush)
- Brownie from FEMA used to breed horses! Hecuva job!
Didn't trample on the constitution, bill of rights, geneva convention, kyoto treaty, etc. (Bush)
Didn't cut taxes for the rich, and leave the poor with fewer social services (Bush)
Didn't turn a surplus into a huge deficit that his granchildren could never pay off (Bush)

No mission accomplished, no Osama dead or alive, no cleaner skies, many children left behind

And the Stones like him! What more could you ask for!

This really is a nice read guys, and girl, as I've nothing to do with either getting or losing those tix... I'm enjoying it. ;-) Just wanted to let you know. A little sting here and there, a small Clinton/Bush-fight, civil disobedience, terrorism, John Lennon, very broad discussion...
