OK how about most despised Stones song...

We as real fans have to be critical when they release crap. My vote goes out for Fool To Cry. This song is in fact the 3rd worst song ever released IMHO, behind Afternoon Delight and Muskrat Love. <hurl>

Time waits for no one, sappy and souless, mid 70's schlock

i do not despise (thats too strong a word),
but i dislike intensely 95% of the Dirty Work LP.

I love both Fool To Cry and (especially) Time Waits For No One.

Crappy songs:

Gomper
Back To Zero
Gunface
Too Tight
Indian Girl
Sing This All Together
Congratulations

I have to be honest: the fact that it IS the Stones already elevates any song from outright crapitude. Howvere I do not like "Rock and a hard place" and "It must be hell" very much. But I do love the original riff in "Souyl Survivor". Also "Losing my Touch", "Stealing My Heart", are not high n the list.

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

Could never understand the hate so many have for "Too Tight". What is there not to like. The inclusion of 'Time waits for no one' has me utterly baffled.

Worst ever - Hold Back. Twenty years on and rumour has it there's an engineer still rummaging around a recording studio in New York trying to locate the tune for this song.

<Could never understand the hate so many have for "Too Tight".>

It is a pure rip off from a band I do not like very much: LIVE. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the song, but I think it's their biggest hit from back in the days...

OK some of these songs on here are mindboggling, but it is our opinion, and as such I am ready to be ridiculed because my top 4 most despised songs are in order:

Angie
Beast of Burden
Shattered
Midnight Rambler (live) - I dread when I see that harmonica come out

IMO, they could have done something completely else instead of recording "Hey Negrita" and "Might As Well Get Juiced"....

"Angie

You on the right thread....... meant to be tracks you hate????

Gunface is up there, most of Dirty Work, Sex Drive........

Sorry I know most stones fans love it but I hate it. I also was never a big fan of studio Sympathy but man to see it live really puts the studio to shame.

gasp! from me, I would vote for Hey Negrita as the most underrated Stones song ever, it is one of my all time favs.

Never cared much for the guitar-tunings on Dallas rehearsals 1972.

I said I was going to take a lot of flack - those are my 4 least favorite stones tunes.

Even though you said you were going to take a lot of flack,
doesn't make your list less insane.

much anything on steel wheels but rock and a hard place tops them all
blinded by rainbows and anybody seen my baby struggle for #2
then, yes i too rate time waits for no one that much as to put it here on 3# spot (pure non-stones music, IMHO, maybe it would have made my fav genesis tune)
a honorable mention for back to zero and biggest mistake

Hey to each their own I suppose...but the Ya-Ya's version of Rambler is what made me a Stones fan...I walked into my brother's room just after he had gotten the record and it was playing...first thing I ever heard by them.

ok, I too think "to each their own" but, man, it is really hard to think of someone who likes the Stones and "despise" MR live most, i mean...
sounds really paradoxical to me
anyway, that's it, to each theor own

Never in a million years would I have expected to see the Rambler on this thread...it just boggles the mind.
