Thanks for reminding me, I saw Roger McGuinn solo at a theatre in Carlisle, PA. Was telling stories and had all of his guitars set up behind him. Banjo too. He played every one. Told us exactly how they ended up doing Mr. Tambourine Man. Somebody shipped Dylan's lyrics out to LA with a primitive tape of his version, and somehow apparently Dylan wanted them to record it. So they sat on the floor cross-legged, and worked out the harmonies before they even left the room. That show was a clinic. He played his 7 string, with the extra string center-cut (3 strings on top/bottom), and basically took credit for that style of guitar. Used to be Joan Baez' boyfriend in '60. On and on. And he did look totally great, appearance wise. Looked like he was early 40's if he was a day. Great show

Might try and get along to one of their London shows in that case. I know Adrian was also rating them very highly earlier on this thread.

Yeah that's amazing. I saw them once back in the day too and I thought they were outta sight. That is some of the hottest crossover stuff that's ever been played.

Yup, they were absolutely brilliant. Some of the best gigs I've ever seen by anyone. You won't be able to see them this year. The tour's over. I'm sure they'll be back at some point, but not next year ...

Put it this way - I got tickets for the two London dates when they were initially announced last year, saw the first show and was completely blown away by how good they were. So I decided to see them as often as I could this year. They're a fractious band and you never know if they'll do it again.
