Ok, I want to mix the Ya-Ya's deluxe cd to represent the complete concert. Id like to put the between song banter where it belongs and the songs in the order they were performed. Can anyone help me out?

Not a Ya-Ya's mix, but you might be interested in ghostryder13's excellent home made compilation from earlier this year:

All files still seem to be available.

Indeed. Or disc 3 from Broadway (DAC-092).

Working with disc 3 from Broadway is a no-brainer because it has ALL CRACKLING REMOVED!!!!

Seriously, why do people still recommend F==k Yer Ya Yas Out which has more crackles and scratches than music and is virtually unlistenable (unless youre a masochist of course!) when a crakle and pop-free version is out there!

Maybe people still listen to it for the same reason we want the Who Live at Leeds to still have crackles: it might not be clear but it sounds more natural.

Well, I put together my own mix using "The Alternate GYYO" and the rough Oakland soundboards. So, no "Under My Thumb" or "I'm Free". I substituted the Oakland "Gimme Shelter", which I placed between "Live With Me" and "Little Queenie". This will do until I can afford the Ya-Ya's Deluxe set. It IS somewhat jarring to hear the transition bewteen "You Gotta Move" and "Midnight Rambler", but I suppose that was the intention.

The IMP release also have slight crackles; and it sounds very natural and nice.
The F*** Your Ya Yas Out bootleg; doesn't have " slight crackles" but "violent punches" - it's a quite bad listening experience.

This is why I'd recommend using "Get Yer Alternate Ya Ya's Out", which was made available by Urban Steel. You can find it on "Hot Stuff".

Thanks everyone for the help, it seems from this that I will be able to compile a decent representation of the what Ya-Ya's should/could have looked like!

I notice that in all of these collections, Sympathy for the Devil is only 5'52 long or there abouts. I have a version I downloaded sometime ago with the third verse from the acetate inserted into the regular version. The running time is 7'25. Is this reflect the complete version of the song?

Why on earth would they cut a verse out of their new masterpiece?

Hey Chris, I noticed on your site that you have a disc named "Play With Fire".
Is the material all studio or are they live tracks?

I think I'll stick with editing just the re-issue once I get it (and again Down Under seems to come last when it comes to the Stones camp), & not bother with using other sources. There are several other excellent comps that have been posted so I'll see what I can do with the official Ya Ya's.

I've got the mp3s, rearranged the trax into the correct running order & there's going to be a fair bit of work in crossfading, cutting out the in-between stuff most of which seems to have been edited in anyway, & I've had enough of buttons & paint it black you devil. Splicing in the missing verse/chorus to SFTD should do it nicely.

Now all I've got to do is wait until they realise that there is a Land Down Under that really does like the Stones

Are you waiting for delivery or for a local release? I'm (still) waiting on an Amazon delivery. 10 days now, hope I get it before 14.
