In Melbourne Hounddogs Bop Shop has both versions of YA YA release ....

You're kidding me? I never really thought of Hound Dog's Bop Shop as stocking stuff from artists that emerged after the early 60's. I love that shop, Dennys with all his mates(?) hanging around the store all day. I gave him a hundred once thinking it was a fifty, and left. Dennys hollered out and got me my change. he's a real nice fellow.

Why on earth would they cut a verse out of their new masterpiece?
my guess is because of altamont although it was after under my thumb when the man was killed by the hell's angels the press wrote it was sympathy for the devil instead. my guess is in their eyes it made the incident more interesting.

Ok, thanks to Deltics, Vancouver, UrbanStee, ChrisM and Erik_Snow and anyone else I may have forgotten here is what I have in my Ipod playlist:

Jumpin Jack Flash (11/27/69 from Stoned MSG 1969)
Carol (11/28/69 1st from post in this thread)
Sympathy for the Devil (11/28/69 2nd show complete from earlier download)
Stray Cat Blues (11/26/69)
Love In Vain (11/26/69)
Prodigal Son
You Gotta Move
Under My Thumb/Im Free
(all from Deluxe Ya Ya's)
Midnight Rambler (11/28/69 2nd show-Get Yer Ya Ya's out Alternate)
Live With Me (11/28/69 2nd show Live at Madison Square Garden)
Little Queenie (11/28/69 1st show Get Yer Alternate Ya Ya's Out)
Satisfaction (Deluxe Ya Ya's)
Honky Tonk Women (11/27/69 Stoned MSG 1969)
Street Fighting Man (11/27/69 A shot of Salvation)*
I* I realize this is not the version from Ya Ya's but considering there is no undubbed version I substituted this version instead.

This is how it looks, I may play around with some editing of songs eventually, but right now im pacified with this. Any suggestions as to this please let me know.

I'm having some real thing tonight. My Ya-Ya's box finally arrived - via New Zealand for some delaying reason.

I can try that, but first let me tweak it a bit (e.g make it run smoother, there are gaps were audience noise fades out, and a couple of overlaps on stage banter).

Yeah Vancouver, I was going to try and restore the stage banter to its proper place in the concert (if possible).
Oh and your version of Carol is the one I used in my set.
