Its a very good song, but I would put in on par with any other Chuck Berry influenced song. Its about equal to Respectable or Neighbors or IORR. The guitar work may be better tha the others. Keef proably did it 7 million times before he got it right.
don't give me that ole one two, one two three four

Nope
Cant see what the link is between changing a couple of repeated words to make it radio friendly and turning into the best song theyve ever done
No matter what they did with it, while its a good song there are a few MUCH better on that album - Winter and 100 Years Ago to name the most obvious two.
Definately in my top ten. And I'd have to disagree, adamently. The 75 version pales in comparison to 78. The weave was in full swing, on a good night, in 78.
And I think it IS one of the best Stones tunes of all time. That, Midnight Rambler, The Last Time, and ONNYA have it tied right now for me. Who knows what it'll be in 10 minutes though.
Wasn't it already censored on the US original version of the album? The "fruit" verse has a very sloppy second voice saying something else on top of the dirty word.
I don't know about their best ever, but I think it would have been a very popular song. That said, a song is both lyrics and music, so we don't know what the substituted lyrics would have done to the song. I think the gist of the post is that a lot of peeps never got to hear a rockin song. I'd say it's as good a Chuck riff as IORR, if not better.

It actually insane. They had to censor "pu**y clean". But could say "f%6ker" 10 million times. Go figure.
