Lets see how many of us agree that setlist is better off without this song. Its tired & overdone! Got Rid of YGMR already. Need One more ousted. I like both tunes. Don't love em but their alright, just not required all the time. (esp considering their great catalogue). I think many agree I hope Lets see

Vote to keep in or vote it out.

I vote Miss You Out!!!!!! MEZ

someone here once said they have miss you timed out with the trip to the b stage. If it's true, they won't drop it unfortunately.

I wish they drop it but JJFlash is probably right.

YGMR actually prompted me to take a bathroom break in the middle of the b-stage set (right where I was seated) in Portland - that's how much I hate that song! I didn't even have to "go."

u should have taken a shit right there on the floor. maybe the thought of seeing that would prompt mick to leave it out the rest of the way!

Sorry - I love Miss You. It's actually a song I hardly ever heard a bad live version of, and I hope they'll play it when I'll be there.

excellent thought - unfortunately, as I said - I didn't even half to go - I went to the men's room just to escape YGMR!

I'm totally with T&A, and also with Otonneau.

I've not heard a bad version of MU. A bit 'show-bizzy' - but a good swinger.

It is much less played than BS, which gets my vote for a rest.

Miss You was great with the rawness of Keith & Ronnie in 1978, and to a certain extant in 81/82. Now, that Ronnie struggles a bit, Miss You is boring.
That song was actually the first song I ever thought should have been left out. I thought about that in 1994. It's too long too.

So let's compromise: I vote in the stripped Miss You of live licks small stage, shorter and with Mick on harp.

...with Mick on drums, Charlie on vocals, and Ronnie on harmonica, now THAT would be interesting!

I agree. shorter version with harmonica. Maybe if they shorten it up they can add another song in.

I vote to have Miss You dropped & something tells me that we haven't heard the last of You Got Me Rocking, unfortunately. The Stones are too set in their ways. They probably have a hundred or so songs that would take up the same amount of time on the way down to the b-stage.They're just too lazy and conservative to make that move. Also, too many non real fans at these shows who hear it on the radio, haven't heard it live, and expect to hear it at the show they're at.

Dump it. Good song but it's been played on every tour since 1978. I'd like to hear more stuff from the 60's and 70's.

I'm not a huge Miss You fan, but I must admit that I really like the version on Flashpoint. Crank that!

Re: Vote Out Miss You

Great song - should stay in, but has to be re-arranged (more guitars).

phd,

Miss You is A Stones' song. Probably writte mainly by Jagger but it appears on their 1978 album 'Some Girls'. It was also a hit single for them that year.

That album and single were extremely important to the Stones' rebirth.

(Yes to guitars and harp - cut the rest of the crap, except a short sax solo maybe).

By all means drop miss you, played live it bores the daylights out of me.

but drop YGMR? are you joking? it's a killer rock tune. up there with my favourite Stones tunes over the last 20 years. They need to play it every night. It does esactly what it says on the tin - IT ROCKS
