The fact that the Rolling Stones are more into making money than caring about their true fans.

They should open the vaults!!!

"Sweet Neocon! Dreadful"

I actually think that's a pretty decent tune.

Absolutely!
Whether you agree with the sentiments or not, it's a really dreadful lyric.

"As we say in England, it can get a bit trainspottery"

Dead right......plus lending all my 60's programmes, mags, etc to a girl and never getting them back. And she never came across either...

Cash your dreams before they slip away..

Their silence NOW (ARE YOU STILL A BAND OR IS IT ALL OVER NOW !?!?!?!) +

The lack of respect they have for their past work (see Bob Dylan's BOOTLEG SERIES box sets and Beatles REMASTERS box sets to see how it's "perfectly" done) AND the inability to release outtakes/rare/live/alternative version box sets - EVERY other giant band/performer has done it

Jagger's 1989/90 STEEL WHEELS/URBAN JUNGLE TOUR Haircut, way too short, not Rock and Roll looking AT ALL, especially on the Jag....

1.) B-sides of VL album not released on the album despite being the superior songs from the era.
2.) So many great songs rehearsed for Licks tour and not played
3.) No surprise guest spots by MT or BW during 40th anniversery Licks tour
4.) Set lists getting shorter, ticket prices getting higher.
5.) Horrible choice for opening acts on US tours since 1989 (The Black Eye Peas and Kanye West---are you @#$%& kidding me?!?)
6.) Still no plans to release live material from 72/73
7.) Chuck Leveall and Don Waas

in any order, Cohl, Don W, having J Timberhead and D Matthews on stage with em, playing super bowl, Klein, Taylor leaving, sweet neo-con, more because politicians are not worthy of a Stones song, crappy opening acts.

-no 1984 US tour. they had toured US every 3 years from 1966-1981, then didn't during the all-too-brief period in my life where I could have followed them around on a tour for like 10 shows or something. the guitars would still have been distorted (unlike 1989-2003), keith's knuckles were still perfect, Stu was still around, noone had written Back To Zero yet, there wasn't a RS mach IV (the giant band of 1989-present).

-the lack of a studio masterpiece since Some Girls and Tattoo You, even though they've had lots of great tunes/sessions since then and could have pieced one together (ala TY) or better produced some of their sessions. even some of the simplest decisions: for example, who was the idiot who insisted on keeping Under The Radar off the ABB record?!? We're far from the 10-awesome-songs-a-year days when the band could release HTW and JJF as non-album singles, guys...stuff that good has to be on the record.

-haha, discovering that they were mortal.

in no particular order:
Dirty Work album cover
Continual "Touring" despite no magic being performed in the studio - i.e. simply touring for $$
Continual "Touring" which means no opening of the vaults until they finish!!
Shine A Light - the movie...should have been better
Brand New Car

bummer...i was offered a ticket day of show from a craigslist call i had made earlier in the week - but i was in chicago and couldn't get there. the thing that was different about that venue was that they did not release the tickets that others didn't pick up.

Being in Paris for the two Longchamps shows in 1995 and thanks to the fact that it was before the era of cellphones, being out of contact when spending the day shopping with my wife - if I'd had access to one, I'd have got an Olympia ticket instead of having had to endure the frustration of walking past the queue of lucky bastards outside the venue....

Bill leaving;
Rolling Stones post 1983;
Not having seen them live in the sixties and the seventies.
The total lack of interest of them for their "hardcore" fans: open those vaults, for cryin'out loud!!

Dirty Work and no tour behind it was really disappointing for me.

Also I saw Keith with the Winos in 1988 at the Orpheum in Boston and was disappointed at the time because he did not play Stones songs. Looking back on it I commend him for it whereas Mick played the Stones without the Stones and it sucked, Keith plugged his record.

The Stones' treatment of Mick Taylor:

But what about his royalties from the Stones? ‘In 1982 they stopped paying me. They’d signed to a different record company and had new contracts and were advised they didn’t need to pay me any more,'explained Taylor with a shrug.

‘Until then, I’d had a contract with Rolling Stones Records which was licensed to Atlantic Records – the same contract as the rest of the band.’
The deal gave him an equal share of performing royalties, though Jagger and Richards shared the writers’ royalties. But when the Atlantic contract expired, the band’s management used a loophole in Taylor’s contract to stop all payments.

‘I should have got a lawyer,’ he said. ‘But instead I called them rude words and asked how they could just stop paying me. They all know it’s not right. In fact it is outrageous. They get all the money and I get the plaudits and praise, even from Mick.

‘I’ve tried to talk to Mick a couple of times, but I realise that hiring a lawyer is probably the only way they’ll take me seriously. But they figure I’m not going to do anything about it.’

Like Ronnie, Mick T is horrible with the business aspect of it. He got what he wanted, from what he says, and deserves what he gets, from what he says. He should STFU.

Shine A Light was a disappointment because there wasn't enough focus on the good songs post 1983; too many of Keith's bad moments (Connection being one), not enough better Keith moments (Thief, YDHTMean it).

- All 'club' remixes - flat out HORRIBLE.
