HANDSOME GIRLS LIVE BOOT

I have been listening to this 4 cd set from the Some Girls tour of 78, and it sounds great the Stones were l believe at their peak playing live at this time.
The recordings are soundboard very clean and clear.
Talk about Rareties you have to hear the Stones cover of Elvis "Hound Dog" recorded when the tour stopped in Menphis its amazing.
Also they were playing almost every song from the some girls cd which had just being released.
Keith"s version of "Happy" is great it rocks like hell.
I believe that these recordings are much better than all the other live stuff that has been officially released by the band even better than "GYYOUT"
that album although very good has too much studio overdubbings that take way from the live feeling.
Anyway try to get it, it will make you "Happy".

Anyone able to post some mp3's from these boots? I'd be most grateful.

The mixing on those discs is simply fantastic. Possibly one of the "best sounding" recordings ever made. I've thought about mailing a copy of it to every tech who works for the Stones but decided it would be a waste of my time. They dont need tips on mixing, they need ME to mix.

I'd be interested in getting a copy of this.

Indeed maybe the best soundboard collection of a tour!!!!
They were on fire on those recorded nights!!!!

Agreed, but what was the point of the alternate versions on Disc 2? Are these supposed to be remixed or what? I can detect no noticeable difference other than each track fades out at the end. Certainly they could have found more interesting filler.

it's actually hard to listen to HG and then listen to something more recent. While they are on tour, I tend to avoid the great recordings of yore, frankly.
